Over 90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents. Most of those parents don't know sign language and don't know anyone who is deaf, and they're learning as they go during the years when language develops most.That's what the American Society for Deaf Children does. Parents of deaf kids started it in 1967 and still run it. They offer online ASL classes, Deaf mentors, and ASL storybooks in English and Spanish.Already volunteering with ASDC?
