Lately, our rescue has been taking on some of the most critical dogs from euthanasia lists - dogs that many others would have had to leave behind because of the extensive medical care they need.
Champ was hit by a car and ultimately needed a leg amputation to give him a chance at a pain-free life.
Chili was also hit by a car and required major orthopedic surgery, including bone pins and an external fixation device, to repair his leg.
Madeline was found as a stray. At first, we believed she had been hit by a car, but after extensive testing, we learned she is battling a neurological disorder that requires ongoing care. And these are only a few of the medical cases we have taken on.
Baby Bobby and his mom, Canela, are both currently very sick and receiving intensive medical treatment. Their journey is far from over, and we are committed to giving them every chance possible. The reality is that saving dogs with serious medical needs comes at a significant cost. Many of these cases range from $2,200 to well over $3,000 per dog, and those expenses add up quickly. Between surgeries, hospital stays, diagnostics, medications, specialist visits, boarding, and follow-up care, we are stretched thin financially.
But when these dogs are sitting on a euthanasia list with no one else willing to step up, we simply cannot turn away. Today, we are asking for your help. Whether it is a donation, sharing our posts, fostering, adopting, or simply spreading the word, every bit of support allows us to continue saying yes to dogs that desperately need a second chance. Without your support, we cannot continue taking on these life-saving medical cases. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside us and helping us give these dogs the futures they deserve.
