Rise Against Hunger

Rise Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organization, works in countries worldwide to reach areas ranked “serious” or higher on the Global Hunger Index to support communities where hunger is most severe.

Driven by the vision of a world without hunger, the nonprofit directly supports U.N. Sustainable Development Goal #2: Zero Hunger. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization's State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2025 report, about 673 million people — accounting for around 8% of the world’s population — face hunger. For over 20 years, Rise Against Hunger has mobilized volunteers to package nutritious meals that change lives. But hunger doesn’t end with one meal. The organization’s layered, integrated approach to food security addresses immediate needs through volunteer-packaged meals and nutrition support and advances long-term solutions through education and economic empowerment. In 2025 alone, Rise Against Hunger impacted over 7.3 million lives in 41 countries around the world.
