Our FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team, Technical Turbulence (Team #23344) is a 501(c)(3) affiliated organization operating out of Plano, TX. This diverse community team formed in June 2023 out of our members' strong passion to continue in robotics after the students graduated from two very successful seasons as part of their middle school team and their high school did not offer a team.
The overall mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. Teams learn engineering skills building a robot and then compete in a series of competitions, from local all the way up to worlds, where they learn to work with others while growing interpersonal skills that will benefit the youths through life.
Your donations help the team compete at higher levels by paying for robot parts which run in the thousands of dollars each season, league fees and travel. Increased funding allows the team to compete at higher levels and possibly travel to the playoffs, should the team make it, giving each youth on the team more opportunities to learn and grow. We need and appreciate any level of contribution to continue competing at a high level every year.
Thank you,
Technical Turbulence
