Our mission at the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected by this disease. Our vision is to provide a life free of diabetes and all of its burdens.
Orange County is increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as statistics show that 136,416 have received a diabetes diagnosis in our county alone. However, an estimated 100,000 more go undiagnosed. It is estimated that one out of every three children born in the United States after 2000 will be directly affected by diabetes.
That is why the American Diabetes Association's Orange County office is so committed to educating the public about how to Stop Diabetes and to provide support those living with the disease.
