Missourians are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as thousands of people suffer from the disease. According to the Missouri Diabetes Report by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, roughly 446,000 adults in Missouri were diagnosed with diabetes in 2013. In fact, according to the same study, almost 330,000 adults had pre-diabetes as well.
That is why the American Diabetes Association's St. Louis office is so committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease.
