Full Project Description
Every day, many cows, bulls, and calves are found suffering on roadsides, highways, garbage dumps, and unsafe public areas. Some are injured in road accidents. Some have deep wounds, fractures, infections, plastic ingestion, weakness, or untreated disease. Many are abandoned, elderly, blind, disabled, or unable to stand. Without immediate rescue and medical care, these Gauvansh remain in severe pain and may not survive.
Shree Krishnayan Sewa Foundation runs a dedicated rescue and medical care system for such Gauvansh in agony. This is not occasional help — it is a structured, round-the-clock operation for rescue, clinical care, surgery, rehabilitation, long-term shelter, and daily feeding. Internal project material describes Krishnayan as a multi-state system working on street rescue, clinical care, surgery, rehabilitation, permanent shelter, and daily feeding 365 days a year.
The work begins with urgent rescue. Krishnayan operates a 24×7 ambulance-supported rescue response system, with ambulances running round the clock to respond to road accidents, injury cases, severe illness, and animals stranded in unsafe areas. Rescue teams focus on safe handling and rapid transport because delays in trauma cases can cost lives.
Once rescued, the Gauvansh receive medical care, observation, and recovery support. Krishnayan has doctors available round the clock, supported by 24×7 staff supervision to monitor recovery, appetite, movement, infection risk, pain levels, and overall condition. The organization has treated and medicated 150,000+ animals, including cases of road trauma, infections, chronic illness, and long-term disability.
Many rescued animals need more than basic medicine. Accident cases often involve fractures, deep wounds, trauma, infection, or complications requiring surgery and disciplined post-operative care. Krishnayan has conducted 5,352+ operations, followed by sanitation, recovery monitoring, controlled rehabilitation, and pain management.
Rescue is only the first step. Many injured, disabled, aged, blind, or abandoned Gauvansh cannot safely return to the streets. Krishnayan provides long-term protection and shelter for rescued animals, including cows, bulls, and calves. Internal project material notes that Krishnayan has rescued 45,000+ Gauvansh over time and shelters tens of thousands of stray Gauvansh, including accidental, aged, blind, and handicapped animals.
This project will help Krishnayan continue providing:
1) 24×7 Rescue Operations
2) Emergency response for injured, accidental, sick, abandoned, and stranded Gauvansh.
3) Ambulances on the Run
4) Rescue vehicles and ambulances to transport injured animals from roads, highways, accident sites, and unsafe areas to care facilities.
5) Round-the-Clock Doctors and Care Teams
6) Veterinary doctors and trained staff available day and night for treatment, monitoring, medicines, dressing, wound care, pain management, and recovery.
7) Surgery and Post-Operative Care

9) Accidental Gauvansh Care
10) Special care for cows, bulls, and calves injured in road accidents, including immediate rescue, stabilization, treatment, and rehabilitation.
11) Long-Term Rehabilitation
