GivingSpoon is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting food insecurity across the Bay Area. We connect businesses, faith-based organizations, and community members with local food pantries, shelters, and nonprofits to ensure surplus food reaches people who need it, instead of ending up in landfills.
Through our volunteer-powered network and mobile app, we make food donation simple and accessible by coordinating pickups, matching donors with nearby recipient organizations, and streamlining communication throughout the donation process.
Since our founding, GivingSpoon has helped redistribute more than 10,000 meals, supporting families and individuals while reducing the environmental impact of food waste. By building stronger connections between food donors and community organizations, we aim to create a more sustainable, equitable, and hunger-free future.
