IHS Aerospace is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to advancing aerospace education and hands-on engineering experiences for high school and community college students in the Bay Area. Founded by students passionate about rocketry, CubeSats, and unmanned systems, we provide opportunities for young engineers to design, build, and launch projects that reach beyond the classroom. Our work includes:
- High-Power Rocketry: Students design, simulate, and launch rockets that compete at the national level, including the American Rocketry Challenge, where our team advanced to the Finals and placed 2nd in the U.S.
- STEM Outreach & Education: We run aerospace workshops, mentor younger students, and provide access to tools such as 3D printers, CNC machines, and electronics labs, helping hundreds of students gain technical skills.
