The Los Altos Investment Bowl is a 6 hour, student-run event scheduled to take place in the California bay area. We aim to empower high-school students to learn more about investing and personal finance, and our goal is to host 300 participants this year from throughout California and beyond while achieving gender balance and ensuring that students of all backgrounds can attend.
Our event combines the aspects of an analysis-based investment competition with a financial literacy learning experience. Teams of students will take a short quiz and work together to build a custom investment portfolio based off a financial case study, with the help of mentors and provided learning resources.
