Metal Magic FTC #23362 is a veteran FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team from Ashburn, Virginia, founded in early 2023 by 9th to 11th grade students who design, build, and program competitive robots each season. On the competition side, the team has advanced to Premier Events like the Carolinas Premier Event and multiple Chesapeake Championships, earning awards such as the Think, Design, and Connect Awards while ranking around 10th out of 267 Chesapeake-region teams. Beyond the field, Metal Magic is deeply invested in community outreach, running summer camps, classes, hackathons, and kickoff events to introduce younger students to robotics and STEM. The team also partners with local schools and sponsors in Loudoun County to fund robot development, competition travel, and its outreach programs.
