WCK Serves Communities in Lebanon as Conflict Escalates
Support distribution of food and water to families on the run from conflict
About this Giving Opportunity
As violence escalates in southern Lebanon and airstrikes expand to new areas, WCK is scaling up our operations to support internally displaced people fleeing the south and seeking shelter in Beirut and other parts of the country.
Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate southern Lebanon, creating massive traffic congestion and leaving families stranded for hours without access to food or water.
WCK teams immediately mobilized to respond—first distributing food and water to families stuck on the roads, and then rapidly expanding kitchen operations in safer areas.
WCK is now operating six kitchens across Lebanon, including four in Beirut. Our team is currently producing tens of thousands of meals per day, prioritizing families sheltering in schools and informal displacement centers.
