Our project is an FTC robotics team focused on combining engineering, teamwork, creativity, and community involvement to build a strong and sustainable program. In only our rookie year, we placed 4th overall, and we earned 2nd Place in the Think Award! While designing, building, programming, and improving our competition robot is a major part of our work, our team goes beyond the robot itself. We collaborate to solve engineering challenges, develop programming and strategy, document our design process, and learn from each competition. We also prioritize outreach by sharing our experiences with others, introducing students to robotics and STEM, and encouraging younger students to explore engineering and technology. In addition, we focus on fundraising and budgeting to make our team more sustainable and create opportunities for our team to continue growing. Through competition, outreach, and teamwork, we aim to develop not only technical skills, but also communication, leadership, problem-solving, creativity, and a lasting passion for STEM.
