FAIRFIELD COUNTY'S COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Since 1992, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation (FCCF) has united people and resources to address pressing needs in the 23 towns and cities that make up Fairfield County. We promote philanthropy as a means to create change, focusing on innovative and collaborative solutions to critical issues. FCCF works closely with donors and businesses, providing philanthropic advisory services, helping nonprofits build organizational capacity, and leading initiatives to tackle critical community issues. As a trusted partner among philanthropists, nonprofits, and expert resources, our community impact initiatives aim to close the opportunity gap, focusing on three particularly vulnerable target populations: women & girls, immigrants, and older youth neither enrolled in school or employed. Our work eliminates disparities in income, education, employment, housing, and health, to create a vital and inclusive community where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Specifically, the Community Impact Fund provides the resources to:
- Build a stronger, more efficient and effective nonprofit sector through our Center for Nonprofit Excellence
- Connect public and private sectors, and amplify the region’s challenges and opportunities through research, civic engagement, and nonprofit advocacy
- Promote local philanthropy and increase community engagement in local giving by powering Fairfield County’s Giving Day
- Empower women and girls to become economically secure, healthy, and safe, in partnership with our Fund for Women & Girls
- Empower immigrants and their families to succeed, in partnership with our two Immigrant-focused funds
- Create new academic and career opportunities so young people can thrive in Fairfield County through signature Thrive By 25 initiatives
- Invest in Housing Solutions to ensure all residents have safe, stable, and affordable housing in communities of opportunity
